Hi Holger,

Have you tried the commands from my post last year? If so, what output do you get when it does not work?

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X

check if your trims go in the right direction.. You are right, the trims go in the wrong direction when I just inverted the outputs. Fortunately I only fly multirotors (so far) so I have never used trims ;) Installed the latest (r2940) release of OpenTX today but did not find any option to reverse ...

Re: Taranis Gimals in a 9X

Hi, found this awesome thread last week and placed an order for 2 gimbals from t9hobbies. The webshop said only 1 gimbal in stock but I went for 2 anyway and was lucky, they arrived on Monday :D I checked the pots and they had the amplifier board on both gimbals. Re: Flashing FrSky modules with Linux or Mac?

Yes the drivers are included in almost all modern Linux distributions. The driver for the FTDI board is called "ftdi_sio" which also loads "usbserial". Most likely issue is that there is no udev rule to grant permission to the device. I have added the following to my udev rules: ...

Re: FAS-100 current reading offset

I have been using the FAS offset feature for a while now and it works perfectly. My FAS-100 read 0.8A with no load so I entered 0.8 as the offset. mAh readings are very close to what the charger says now :)

Many thanks!

Re: Calculation of mAh using FAS

Wow, you are quick!

Let me know if you need help with testing. I looked in er9x SVN trunk but did not see the commit.

Re: Calculation of mAh using FAS

That would be awesome :) Is the mAh calc done by the transmitter only btw? Just thinking if applying an offset to the current data read from FAS-100 would make the mAh come out right as well. Great work on the er9x firmware, it totally rocks. Will probably give opentx a try soon to prepare for the T...

Re: Flashing FrSky modules with Linux or Mac?

Oh, and for those who like it the Linux way you can invert the RX/TX signals of a FTDI FT232 USB-serial programmer using a tool called ft232r_prog . tar xzf ft232r_prog-1.24.tar.gz cd ft232r_prog-1.24 make ./ft232r_prog --invert_txd --invert_rxd After that unplug the ftdi card and insert it again an...

Re: Calculation of mAh using FAS

Just posted in another thread but maybe here is more relevant. I see a 0.8A offset with FAS-100 running er9x and telemetrez. Offset is more or less constant at 0A, 1A and 5A load. This affects the mah reading as well. http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=2321&p=53522&hilit=...

Re: Flashing FrSky modules with Linux or Mac?

I just flashed a D8R-II Plus receiver with the 27ms CPPM firmware last night. The Linux flash tool worked flawlessly :) I did not use the compile.sh script since it tries to force a 32-bit compile and I did not have the QT libs in 32-bit flavour. I simply did this after unzipping the file: $ cd linu...

Re: FAS-100 current reading offset

I recently got a FAS-100 sensor from HK and it also has a current offset of about +0.8A. This is reflected in both amp and mah readings. I connected the current sensor in between battery and charger while doing a discharge. As can be seen in the picture the FAS-100 is off by about 0.8A. Just to make...

Missing SMT capacitor? Turnigy 9x

Hi! Just getting back into the R/C hobby and got a Turnigy 9x which I of course plan to load with the er9x firmware :) Checking the mainboard it looks like two SMT components are missing and one of them appears to short two others. zoom.jpg What do you think? Anyone who knows the spec of these compo...
