Mine does not connect internally. In the manual it indicates that it is for the 9xr and 9xr Pro.

Can not bind problem

I just bought a 9xr Pro transmitter along with an Orange TX module. I can't get it to bind to the receiver. I currently hold the bind button on the transmitter module while turning on the transmitter. I get no lights no beep. If I just turn on the transmitter I get a flashing green light on the tran...

ER9x and an Arducopter.

I have ER9x on my Turnigy 9x and it appears to be functioning correctly but I can't arm my quad which is running APM 2.6. I know the motors are running as they fire up when calibrating my ESCs. This a first time start up for me with this so please don't assume that I know much. I am new to the hobby...

Re: Did I brick my transmitter?

Thanks to all who responded. I got it working again. I totally removed the smartieparts board, cleaned the contacts on both the 9x main board and the smartieparts board. I also replaced the screws that came with the board with hex head socket head screws that I could fully drive down without strippi...

I have a smartyparts and everything looks solidly plugged in. If it is a connection why would it show up in the device manager?

Did I brick my transmitter?

I was trying to diagnose a problem that I was having with my quad and I was trying to rule out er9x so I was trying to revert to factory firmware. Now I get this message when trying to flash the transmitter. avrdude.exe: error: programm enable: target doesn't answer. 1 avrdude.exe: initialization fa...

Re: Can't arm my quad since installing firmware.

I think that the smartie parts board might not connecting to the board.. I don't know what version of the smartie board you have but the latest version doesn't supply power to the radio so you must have the radio on to flash it.. If that is not the problem please check all the pads are clean and th...

Re: Can't arm my quad since installing firmware.

Does your ardupilot require any auxiliary channels? If yes, have you assigned controls to those channels? No but I have much bigger problem now. I posted this Much bigger problem I was able to arm with the original Turnigy firmware which I had saved to my machine so I was going to try to restore it...

Did I Brick my transmitter?

I had my transmitter all set up with er9x except for the fact that I could not arm my quad. In an effort to try to diagnose the issue I was going to try to restore the original firmware as my quad did arm with that. In the process I got an error and now i have no menus or display at all. I attempted...

Certainly will not hurt to go lower.
Tried it on all channels and tried it at 70% with no love.

Re: Can't arm my quad since installing firmware.

You probably need to adjust mixer weights to about 80%, as the throws are higher by default than what the stock firmware puts out, and the signals might be detected as invalid. Very new to this so I don't know how to do this. Can you tell me or direct me to how to do this. Are you sure about the ch...

Can't arm my quad since installing firmware.

Got a problem that I can't seem to figure out. I have an Turnigy 9x that I upgrade the firmware to er9x and since then I can't seem to arm my quad. I have reloaded Arduocopter 2.8.1 a couple of times, I can connect with the mission planner. I can calibrate the radio with the mission planner. Telemet...

Re: Question about first time setup.

Open your eepe file, double-click on the "General Settings" line, then go to the "Calibration" tab. To recalibrate the radio, follow this: http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/Er9x_user_guide#Calibration It's important to properly center the controls for the first step. OK re-...

Re: Question about first time setup.

You calibration values in the eepe file look really bad, only analog4 looks correct, although analog5 to 7 look like the pots were not centred properly for the calibration procedure. Analog3 might be OK, but analog1 (rudder) and analog2 (throttle) are way off. I don't think they even agree with the...

Re: Question about first time setup.

Do you have eepe loaded on your PC? This is the PC program that lets you edit your radio configuration. With it you can read the EEPROM from your radio and post it here so we can look at it, and therefore see what you calibration values are actually set to. You can change the calibration values by ...

So am I doing something wrong? The rudder is still showing like the graphic above, to the right somewhat with the throttle fully down.

Re: Question about first time setup.

Does the throttle get to 7FE BEFORE the stick reaches full mechanical travle? The 122 is quite high, I suspect the pot is not aligned correctly, or may even be mechanically loose. Mike. It is hitting 07FE pretty consistently right at the end of the travel. But I just noticed that at the bottom of t...

Re: Question about first time setup.

On the ANAS screen, does the hex value for the rudder stick move smoothly across the entire stick travel? What are the values you get at both ends? Could be one more dead pot. Throttle goes from 0122 to 07FE with center at ~04B0 and the rudder/yaw goes from 0082 to 0784 with center at ~04B8. It see...

You say the procedure to centre the controls, do you mean the calibration of the sticks and pots? Go to the ANA menu (LEFT LONG, then LEFT and LEFT again from the main screen). Move the throttle on the left stick so the value of A2 reads about 400 in the left column. Also turn all three pots so tha...
