Re: Hubsan X4 FPV questions.

Yes I did see the H107C, in fact I have one on order. They are due "soon" in the UK. I will see how hackable they are once I get a look at it. I got a response from csgshop, he says it will work with Hubsan products. Short reply but seemed very confident. Only thing puts me off this guy is...

Hubsan X4 FPV questions.

Hi Guys, Two questions: 1) Has anyone bought one of these "DIY Landing Skid for H107 HUBSAN X4 FPV Micro Quadcopter" x4_fpv_addon.jpg Just after general comments on it. Does it work ? Good, Bad, indifferent ? Nothing to detailed. Links to the item via the usual suspects: http://www.ebay.co...

Re: "Flip" button on Syma X1/WLToys v949

Q: Where is the schematic and BOM
A: It's in the SVN repository, see wiki page DevelopmentSoftware for the software to download it and view it.

Or the direct link:

Re: "Flip" button on Syma X1/WLToys v949

But it's only 8MHz clock speed. Is it possible PPM2SPI works with this speed clock ? No, not fast enough. To compact hardware, it's possible exchange 4 LED by one RGB colours LED and one for bind. Yes ! I agree with "akkuschrauber" a switching regulator may cause problems, that said my ro...

No probs, wasn't going to worry about postage costs for the scrap PCB's, but no problem either way.

To program directly the chip I use this : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__27195__Atmel_Atmega_Socket_Firmware_Flashing_Tool.htm l Thank you for all, I'll test that quickly. Yes that programming lead should work. Have you also wired the level convertor resistors exactly as the schematic ?...

One thing the built in DSM protocol provides that the Orange Module doesn't is "Model Match". Always a feature I liked so I am glad to see Bertrand is already on the case of adding the protocol back in.

Well some of you have already spotted it but the wiki has been brought up to date. It has taken a lot of time, well maybe not that bad, but most of today. Any mistakes you find let me know. @Macadamia The NRF24L01 modules are no good. An A7105 module has to talk to another A7105 module, but the modu...

Re: Taranis Display LCD contrast

I got mine the other day and the first thing I went for was the contrast setting. My display is exactly the same as the pictures linked to on RCGroups but pictures don't do it justice though. It really is pretty bad. The problem is the more pixels that are on in any given column, and the darker they...

More news. Due to a cock up by yours truly the first batch of PCB's are ...... scrap. I managed to mirror the main module connector. Not my finest hour, sorry guys. Oh, dear this is all my fault, hands up, very very sorry. It was a mod that was discussed earlier in this thread and I thought I had corrected, but either I didn't or I managed to revert it. It was just one command added to the init sequence, apparently some X4's have to have it in, others don't car...

Re: "Flip" button on Syma X1/WLToys v949

Quick update, PCB's were ordered 3 weeks ago, still waiting for them to arrive. Bind button indeed is not required for the X4 (unless it has changed in the latest revs)... I have no bind button, and it works jsut like the original transmitter, enter binds mode when powered up. Correct when in Hubsan...

It's not the old peach, it won't arm till the throttle is shut, and you have a few clicks of trim in ? Check the throttle signal is 1000us or lower when shut, you can do this in the limits menu on opentx.

Re: "Flip" button on Syma X1/WLToys v949

Sounds like the code is running ok. PD2 is right for Hubsan. Trying another processor is worth a shot, don't suppose you have another A7105 module to try ? It might also be possible your 5v regulator is entering protective shutdown and limiting power, and this is causing problems. I notice you are u...

This has me stumped. It's not one of the new LED X4's ?

Lets start with the green LED..... Hold on spotted mistake in LED ordering on schematic. You should have the red LED lit for Hubsan protocol. Commiting the correction to the schematic now. Sorry !!!

Re: "Flip" button on Syma X1/WLToys v949

Powering the 3.3v reg via the 5v reg will explain why the 5v reg is burning up. The actual schematic has the 3.3v reg powered directly from the battery, and it a big reg to. Your problem of binding but no throttle sounds very similar to Kilrah's. Are you using the Ali Express A7105 500m module, and ...

Re: "Flip" button on Syma X1/WLToys v949

Does the bind LED (orange) come on at all ? It should do so at every switch on while in Hubsan protocol. 180ma seems very high for the current draw from the 5v reg. It's only powering the ATMega and the LEDs. I suspect something amiss with the processor, does it get warm ? Is there any indication co...

Re: "Flip" button on Syma X1/WLToys v949

1. Yes, you may have to re-compile the code though, can't remember the exact differences between the two processors. 2. Yes, probably wise to fix the modulation to Hubsan in the code. Easiest way is to alter line 107 in ppm2spi.c to say chtemp = 10000; 3. Yes. 4. They are whatever I have to hand :) ...

Kilrah - Apparently I didn't look right last time. See here http://uk.farnell.com/molex/38-00-1395/ ... dp/9732349 datasheet linked to gives a better picture. I'll order some up for a look see.
