Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

No, I did that 2 weeks ago. You'd know that if you bothered to read anything. I've been working on FM modes since. For nearly 2 weeks. I'm not going to post any more on this site, where all the "experts" just rattle on without reading or looking at any of the post. You guys are just so sma...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

Nothing you have shown indicates you are using Flight Modes in Mixes. Ok, if you say so, but I've written it down in a number of the posts in this thread. I'm sure the fact that it my first time bores everybody, so they don't actually read my drivel, but I've mentioned it several times. 4 wing cont...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

. If you adjust a servo in inputs or outputs (I did when centering the servo) then it effects ALL. Why would you adjust a global input or output if you are only trying to adjust one flap mode in FM3? In neutral flight mode it was easy to get everything centered. I did that near the beginning....or a...

I also need to restrict all 4 ailerons in FM3. ... haven't gotten'round to it yet, only a little. Just fine tuning.

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

This is in flight mode 3 where all CSs are 25° down. I want the travel restricted...in landing mode. I've got one rear elevator weight at 20, the other at 10. They're doing exactly what I want them to do...and their movement is identical to each other. In flight mode they were already balanced. In l...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

I learned something. Each weight setting is independent. Every servo and connected linkage is completely different....if you want them to work the same. One aileron on one channel may be 40 and another aileron might be 6, in order to make them travel the same.

Radio beeping and beeping

This is a Radiomaster TX12. Firmware is 2.3.11. When I try to use Companion the radio starts beeping and beeping. No message, no alert. I shut it down. Companion loades and works, but you can't turn it off unless you pull the USB or shut off the computer. Radiomaster doesn't know what this either. A...

Now you can see why I don't watch video. I use my data uploading my own. This shows I'm getting there. Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

I have this on 4 servos....I miss a detail here and there. I also am have other things to deal with so sitting down next to my model and spending real time has been fleeting lately, and my batteries are junk. I'm making progress, tho slowly. This all works but refining it may take quite a while. SBu...

I got two sets. One pair dies in half the time as the other set. Hit and miss. I'm just asking if anybody might suggest a reliable brand.

Re: 18650 3.7v batteries

Even when using a remote charger, I check them straight out of the charger...and have never seen them over 7.9v. That's also what they read as soon as the TX12 got them up to 8.2...8.3v. They fall off fast.

Nobody else uses the 18650?

18650 3.7v batteries

I have a Radiomaster TX12, new and bought a couple sets of batteries for it. They're already fading and despite being 3.7v batteries won't charge beyond 8.1v. I like to know what battery brand people here have found to be quality batteries....18650 3.7v Links would be very helpful. Where to get them...

Yes, holding the roller down switches the weight to numbers. The Gs 1,2,3,etc are global values you set in that menu?

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

It would be perfectly logical for a longer "enter" would do that. Thanks. I plugged it into companion and when the voltage got to 8.1v the radio started beeping...8.2v, it started beeping a lot and it seemed like the battery voltage was going up and down. I unplugged it, not knowing what t...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

When I try to set the weight within mixes, some times there's a number to set. 100 to -100. Sometimes it gives me G1-G9 I think, or to the negative -G9. Then you can't put it on 0. Your stuck with the G number. I have not found this in any searches I've tried. ...can't get past it, and it doesn't se...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

Oh well, thanks for the help. I'm gonna have to start all over to find out why I have 3 of the 4 wing servos inverted. When I started the programming I was still painting the fuse and skinning the wings. I'm surprised all the pitch and roll on all 4 work. I may leave notes here, but don't expect ans...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

In the mixes I may have found an important error. ..my miss. When adjusting an "offset" in the mixes, some read 1,2, 3,4 or in the minus side. In other mixes instead the offset picks G1, G2, G3....they're different. in FM1 (flight mode 1), all 4 wing control surfaces need to drop about 15...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

That is not my point. I appreciate your help, but please understand. I don't understand 2/3s of what your talking about. I've never done any of this before. I have never even flown an RC. I did some extensive free-flight building in the '90s. That's it. So generally, I don't have much, if any knowl...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

Yes, I've got it so when I push the stick forward the front CSs come up and the rear go down...an vice versa. All 4 have both pitch and roll....all 4 will have 2 flap modes also. I'll certainly look at 50 vs. 100%. My first objective is to get all the functions working and then tune everything. I di...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

I'll see if I can explain why one is at 100 and the other at -100...tho the first mix on each channel works perfectly. Without the minus 100 (-100). The forward ailerons worked the way the were supposed to, but one of the elevator mixes on the forward wing had to be set on "inv". When I tr...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

Companion does not handle .bin files from the TX (last time I tried anyway.) It handles all the models on the tx as on .otx and reads them from the tx micro's memory. Companion can also write a set of all models from an . otx to the tx micro's memory. Thanks, you're probably right. I'll check and l...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

My TX12 didn't come with ANY card. I had to purchase one and install it...and the needed content. It's a 4G, microSDHC. I did it all in my laptop, then put it in my TX.

You cold be right about storing models in the ROM, but when you back up the models, they're put in microHD.

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

Yeah, I might try it with companion, but the win10 partition in my laptop is small. I only installed it to see what win10 does. I don't use it, so I limited its HD space. As far as uploading goes, I'll pull the microSD out of the radio and load it directly. Easier for me that way. I don't really wan...
