Re: Replace 5V regulator
Is any 5V switched volt regulator giving issues to the transmitter? Because recently I have replaced my standard volt regulator of my er9sky board. Last thing I want is that it gives more internal distortions. http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4758&p=67472&hilit=volt+regu...

Re: Replacing Volt Regulator
Replaced today the volt regulator, to remove the old i have cutted the regulator from the board, only then I was able to remove the old pins from the board. Placing the new one was simple task.
With the old regulator the avarege mAh was 148, the new uses 126.

Replacing Volt Regulator
Today arrived my new volt regulator, OKI-78SR-5/1.5-W36-C for my ersky9x.
Question, i can't find the ersky9 board-layout to determine which pin is what?
Corresponding to the photo, which position (A or B) i have to mount the regulator?

Re: ERSKY9x Questions
Just wondering, would it ever be possible to connect a USB game joystick on a ErSky board? Thinking about to hookup a game joystick on an my Radio. I am aware of the USB > PPM, Arduino solutions. Or another extreme solution i am thinking of is to hard-wire connect the game joystick directly to the E...

I've built a version of the code with a fix, you can find it here: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676&p=65894#p65894 . Mike. That worked very well, no more rebooting when copying files over the USB from laptop to radio. Note: in menu 1/11, i missing the option sound whic...

unless you have dog's ear, majority human ear can only hear 20-20KHz. ;) Only very high end speaker can reproduce 20-20KHz truly, all the others are distorted at both ends of spectrum. the little speaker in the tx can reproduce 500-15KHz would be lucky. :) NOTE: I am talking here only about MONO so...

Re: R188 + Battery low warning (voice)
I'd agree that going from 22kHz to 44kHz is unlikely to give better sound quality. All it really does is make the .wav files bigger and gives the processor twice as much work to do to play them. The processor should really be left to control the aircraft! Mike. And it is not the co-processor who's ...

Ok, you're using your files.. good. The problem is if you use the list from the other files you got from the google code, I think the file numbers are wrong. Just looked at the code! There is a second reason the battery low voice message is played. This is the capacity monitoring alarm. This is configured in the RADIO SETUP2 menu (units of 50mAH). The capacity used is displayed in the BATTERY statistic screen (LONG UP from main screen). When you charge ...

Is there any calibration i need to do i am not aware of>, on my volt meter i measure 9.6 volt, ersky9x measure 9.4 volt. (on my FrSky voltage sensor it measures 9.79 volt)
edit:
Measured the voltage regulator: in 9.25 volt, out 4.84 volt (Life accu 9.60 volt).
