Re: Trainer/Student (Buddy Flying) Advanced Settings

Hello After one complete season (2 trainers, 5 students, 5 planes) I've finally worked out my favorite version and have done a new lua script. It is a mix of two of the old versions. The control of rudders is switched from student to trainer when one of the sticks (ail, ele, rud) is moved. Control o...

Are you writing about this: 2022-03-22 v2.1.10 1. Enter the self-check mode through configuration, which facilitates operation and improves system security. (for RX with stabilization function). 2. Improve FBUS baud rate and adapt to the latest Xact servo update. Note: For ETHOS-based radio only, pl...

Re: Trainer/Student (Buddy Flying) Advanced Settings

This new version of scripts has no new functionality.
It was done for program optimization.

It should run now on all Radios with OpenTX that are accessible in Companion 2.3.15.

Additionally it should also run on all Radios with EdgeTX version 2.6.0 or higher.

Trainer/Student (Buddy Flying) Advanced Settings

Hi we intend to offer more Buddy Flying in our club. So I did some research on existing methods and put some work in testing different settings for OpenTX (or EdgeTx). The result is a paper with three different types of settings. Whats new: They share in common that all settings (including calibrati...

Re: Trick about getting the altitude value with a knob/switch

Hi Lubo As I understand you do not want to use a standard telemetry screen. Are the letters to small or is it that you do not want to select with the page button. I wrote something like that in LUA script. In fact this are two scripts. One is a script that does show and announce telemetry data. - ht...

select telemetry view by custom function ???

Hi Im using a Taranis x9Lite-S Is there a way to select the telemetry view via a custom function (with a logical switch). Also to switch automatically from the general screen to telemetry screen and back. (I do use different screens, also with Lua scripts for very big letters. It would be great if t...

Re: GY-86 in oXs arduino pro mini 16MHz

Hi Nesan
At the moment I do have no really hot ideas.
You could check which Arduino IDE you have. (see my screenshot)
But I doubt that that's the cause of the problem.
May i ask which country you are from.
(You may send me one of the parts to test).

Re: GY-86 in oXs arduino pro mini 16MHz

Hi Nesan Did a bit more thinking about the MPU-6050. The fact that a test code can read raw data from the the MPS-6050 is no guarantee that the IMU and wiring is ok. Reason: there is more than one option how the IMU can be setup. One is to send a request to the IMU, every time you want fresh data. I...

I do use about seven different OXS sensors with Access (GPS, MU-6050, MS5611, GY86(clone) and a RPM(gas-ignition)).
I didn't find any problems concerning Access.

Re: GY-86 in oXs arduino pro mini 16MHz

(with rev >1 and MPU YES). I myself have never tried BARO_AND_IMU and PPM. I would recommend to start with a simple ...

Re: GY-86 in oXs arduino pro mini 16MHz

HI It just crossed my mind that with my GY87 there was also an other problem. The chip for the magnetic sensor HMC5883 is no longer produced by Honneywell. So my GY87 had a QMC5883 instead which needed a modified software (I wrote myself). If you use I2C-Scanner the address of the HMC5883 is (0x1E) ...

Re: GY-86 in oXs arduino pro mini 16MHz

Hello I'm not sure but you could have the same problem that I had with a GY-87 (which was in fact a HW-290, but with a original MPU-6050) In my case the problem was the this: In routine inv_mpu.c there is a check for a hard-/firmware revision of the MPU-6050.
