Re: Turnigy 9XR General

I will say that the radio does look much harder to mod. The case is very limited in space. I also do not like the new buttons at all. I think overall the 9x is still a much better radio. I agree the new arrow buttons are horrible and significantly worse than the mediocre ones on the 9x, which sucks...

Re: Turnigy 9XR General

Latest er9x seems to work flawlessly on the 9XR. I migrated over my models and flew some WLToys using an the old 9x module. No issues yet. Backlight, beeper, pots, switches, sticks all working as they should. Next will test the JR trainer port with Phoenix RC.

Re: Turnigy 9XR General

If anyone's curious, a 2200mah 3S 25C nano-tech Lipo fits very nicely. It also seems to even out the weight.
HK's 1500mah 3S lifepo4 is still likely more optimum but it slops around a lot and warrants some extra padding.
A larger mah LifePo with similar dimensions to the 2200mah 3S would be ideal.

Some have flashed the '9XR' firmware to a stock radio and it works fine.. so my guess. 100% compatible.

Re: Turnigy 9XR General

Just got my 9XR. New gimbals are sweeet, much smoother than the ones on the 9x.

Does anyone know if its been confirmed whether or not you can flash the 9XR with the latest er9x? I'd love to get it up to date with my other 9x'es.

Re: Difference between D8R-II plus and the D8R-XP ???

Is the hardware of the D8R-II and D8R-XP the same? If so, is the only difference between the models the firmware?

Re: Difference between D8R-II plus and the D8R-XP ???

Kilrah: thank you for the detailed reply. I'll definitely be picking up a FrSky FUC-3 :)

kaos: I'd love to get the XP instead, but damn Hobbykock only has the DJT combo with the II+ or V8FR-II.

Re: Difference between D8R-II plus and the D8R-XP ???

Does anyone know where there are instructions posted for flashing a D8R-II+ with XP firmware?

And is FrSky's FrUSB-3 (FUC-3) cable required (http://www.foxtechfpv.com/fuc3-frsky-up ... p-630.html), or is it possible to use FTDI or something?
