Tested a few Stylus on my Radioking Touch Screen ... but cannot find one that works ....

OTX 2.3.15 ..... no models / no scripts etc. Radio was already flashed with AETR FW correctly .. but re-installed Installed EDGETX 2.8 .... clean EdgeTX 2.8 with models etc from OTX SD card .. I have a new throttle gimbal on order due to my breaking the tension bracket ... repaired - but think this is opportunity to replace with the Jumper T16 Hall assembly - supposed to be a better gimbal ....

I find that a bit difficult to accept as all the 'words' so far appear to some OTX guys have sidelined of to create EdgeTX ? They claim that all developments will be fed back into OTX ... Even if FrSky was behind it ... then surely that would be counter-productive for them ? But if they were AND fed...

So no-one interested in it ???

Considering EDGETX is a fork off from OTX ... maybe idea to have section for it ?

Yes that's the rub ... where erskyTX is nice and straightforward - openTX splits Inputs and mixes. This split causes interactions that make it hard to find where an error lies. The error comes about usually because when spool is first put to use ... or after use - the last few feet of filament 'twists' due to its being created and spooled at factory. I have this happen on near every spool till I realised why. New Spool - when freeing the end ... make sure the coils on the ...

The Radioking TX18S has inbuilt charge facility - but its very slow and powered from USB C cable. In use - the rear of case gets warm so there is possibly a heat issue to note ... it is known that Jumper did not put charge into their later radios for such reason. I would like to be cautious and not ...

I know that when I open eepsky - it asks if I want to update it .. I think it says R422 ? I say yes - it downloads but then fails to install saying corrupt.

I will download it from er9x page direct instead of via the app ... and try again.

In Bootloader mode with openTX .... you get two drives pop up ... both named TX18S but of course different drive letters ... first is the card and second I believe is the radio itself. I have not changed Bootloader ... when connected with erskyTX installed ......... the SD card comes up as just 'rem...

OK ... good ... yes thats right way up and scroll is now working well. Bit confused about buttons to go through menu and items though. OK - eePeSKY does not want to connect to this radio for FW flashing - had to do that from Companion. Will not flash erSKY from SD card but will flash openTX back aga...

You know that little voice in the head that nags !! So I took a small heater with me !! Funny - my model workshop is 12m x 8m !! So it had to stay VERY close to me while working. I flashed erskyTX again ... of course this time I knew how and what to do ... Screen still upside down ... and top text p...

I looked for such a command ... but I didn't see it ...

Its bloody cold out in my workshop even with heating on ... so I will hang on a bit before trying again.

OK ... I had a bit of trouble installing to the TX18s ... eePSKY would not recognise the radio .. tried via Bootloader and direct. Putting FW on SD card ... it did not work - showed the file but would not allow me to flash. I finally flashed via Companion ..... and also set card content as per erSKY...

If I install erskyTX for TX18S ... and somethings not quite right ? can the original openTX be put back ? I know that sounds ungrateful - its not meant to be. You can (and should) download the existing firmware and eeprom of your radio before you flash a new software. eePsky allows you that downloa...
