DIY - MSRC - Multi sensor telemetry for several Rx protocols
DIY - MSRC - Multi sensor telemetry for RC This is a DIY project to send multiple sensors telemetry for a fraction of the weight and cost of the stock sensors using Arduino or Teensy boards. It adds support for several ESC protocols Sensors: ESC - serial telemetry: Hobbywing V3/V4/V5, Kontronik, AP...

Re: ESC telemetry to Frsky Smartport with Arduino Pro Mini
Hi, just found this project coming from OpenXSensor, but I want to use a atmega32u4. Just testing on a leonardo for now. I tried compiling/linking/uploading the code with just voltage 1 & 2 enabled for the frsky smartport protocol. I get the following error saying my sketch is to big... De sche...

Re: RE: ESC telemetry to Frsky Smartport with Arduino Pro Mini
Hi Tell us please what hardware you are using in the video? Thanks There I used an Arduino Pro Mini. Unless you use with Castle Link or need to add a second serial sensor like gps, the Pro Mini is enough. The esc is a Hobbywing V3 and the radio system is Frsky. That was test for the pwm out generat...

Re: ESC telemetry to Frsky Smartport with Arduino Pro Mini
Great project! How do you choose between serial and PWM signal for telemetry with the Hobbywing Platinum v4 pro? When using PWM signal, you can at the same time add a gps via the only available uart port to the board, correct? It is not clear to me what lead to use from the Hobbywing to the Arduino...

Re: ESC telemetry to Frsky Smartport with Arduino Pro Mini
Thanks Jim Michel, no it doesnt support Hifei esc, but I could implement it. There are two options for this, either I get the protocol description (easier) or you can use the sniffer tool (under tools folder)to read the telemetry, send it to me and I'll try to reverse engineer it, like I did for the...

Re: Scripts for ersky9x
I've just completed a script you may run on erskyTx based radios that support sending data over SPort to allow changing the physical ID of FrSky, SPort sensors. This works "over the air". Plug your sensor into the receiver, then run the script. Choose your sensor type, select "ReadId...

eepskye & eepe binaries for linux won't work in ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerux). How to build eepskye & eepe
Current eepskye & eepe binaries for linux won't work in ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerux) as it has some broken dependencies probably because it was built for Ubuntu 14.04. Missing dependencies are libqt4-gui and libqt4-core as they are not compatible with Ubuntu Xenial. The good new is that eepskye (...

Re: Ubuntu and 9xr Pro comm issues
I changed the sd card in the 9xrpro sd port by a faster one to verify where the problem was (no changes on the 9xrpro sd card reader). No problem with this faster sd card in the 9xrpro port. Then I put back the slow sd card in the 9xrpro and added a udev rule to slow down the maximum amount of data ...

Re: How to setup to work with usb simulator interface?
It does work. I've flashed r218 and there is no problem with any sim (I'm using the jack connection on tx) . Just check that you have mixes for the sticks and buttons on your selected model in the 9xrpro (you might also want to define curves if using helis). Go to the simulator and map channels acco...

Re: Ubuntu and 9xr Pro comm problems
Solved. It is needed to mount the ERSKY_9X drive by clicking on it. In ubuntu when an external storage is plugged it is showed in devices list in folder navigation gui, but it is not really mounted. Clicking on it mounts and opens it. So, a newbie mistake again!! I keep learning about eepskye/ersky9...

Re: No teleletry with r218 (9xr Pro) and XJT
Totally right!!! It was the date/time that I even didn't bother to setup (sooo stupid me), so the clock was not working at all. I couldn't think of a relation in between. But anyway, this has been a totally newbie mistake. Sorry for messing around with this.

Re: No teleletry with r218 (9xr Pro) and XJT
This applies for r218 and r219:
1. Turn on tx (no telemetry, starting on model with working telemetry with pxx, d16)
2. Long press left to get modelsel screen
3. Press menu and select any model with telemetry. Then I got telemetry again until I turn it on next time and then repeat this process

Flashed r219 (svn: ersky9x-pr219). Created a new model. I have telemetry until I switch off. When I switch on again I have to change the model to any other to get telemetry back. Almost ok

Ok. Changed the sd card coming with transmitter (4gb, type 6) by a samsung evo 64gb type 1 solved the problem. That's a good point. I'll try that
I've also installed bootloader 2.0 from r219 and same result. It stops after 6mb more or less. It might be related also on how ubuntu automount the 9xr pro. I'll look at it
