Re: Update OTx 2.3.13 to 2.3.15 - The SD Card?

The one real concern is that, besides the version text file, there may be changes or additions to the/SOUNDS/en/SYSTEM .wav files. These are the sounds used for system messages including numbers, units, etc. in telemetry and warnings. I often just copied the new /SOUNDS/en/SYSTEM folder from the new...

Re: Channel Delay on X9D Plus SE???

It is available on the Tx. You will probably have to scroll down on the Mix page aways and the label might be pretty cryptic. I just couldn't point you to where as I do 99.72% of the setup on Companion. Everything you can do in Companion can be done on the Tx in my experience. The reverse isn't quit...

Re: Channel Delay on X9D Plus SE???

If the O is for Oregon I may be able to help, if its Oklahoma or Ohio...its iffy. ;-)

There is a slow function that does what I think you want. It is in the Mixes.
Easiest to show in Companion.

Re: Disable Channel with Input Switch

Does your transmitter run ErSky or OpenTx? If OpenTx do you use Companion? You can't really disable a channel output, but you can disconnect it from any Input that moves it from its default. Just Duplicate the mixes on channel 1 through 8. On each channel add a switch to enable disable the line base...

Ignore Kilrah at your own risk!
His answers are many times terse, but it is sage advice.
He knows OpenTX and where things belong.

No I haven't a clue why you will not look at videos.

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

No. A problem with names. Each model has up to 81 Global V ariables visible in flight modes. (9 per flight mode and 9 flight modes.) GVs are numeric values. The radio has Global F unctions that can be used in every model. These are set in the Radio Settings on the Global Functions page. GFs do somet...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

I did some experimenting (in the simulator that is part of Companion, ..hopefully working the same wayit does on the Tx [it generally does]) If you highlight the Gv in edit a mix. a short press allows you to change the GV. ...A long press of ENTER (the scrollwheel) it switches from GV to Weight. So ...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

I'm not sure I understand, but it seems like you are somehow getting checkboxes checked that you do not want.. You have to look at the checkboxes carefully. If you are doing this on the tx it is harder to not move the scroll wheel when you try to set things. Yet another reason I do 95% of my setup o...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

You can only have one servo ppm center. So outputs takes all the active mixes, evaluates them to one value and sends it to outputs. I don't see what problem you want to solve. Note you can put an individual Global Variable (GV) on each mix OFFSET. Added: ??...What does copy and input mean" You ...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

As a second subject. I don't see how pitch control will work unless you reverse the elevator directions on the front and rear elevators. It looks like you will just increase or decrease lift if all elevator surfaces are the same. The plane may go up or down, but it would not pitch, so more thrust wo...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

That is not my point. Mine are all plus because I don't have a model with the servos to set the ones to minus/inverted that need the servos direction reversed. I do that by trial and error with a functioning model as part of my initial setup. (With no model or mockup with servos with servo arms and ...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

There is no harm in naming the flight modes as you have done. They will show on the tx which is an advantage to me. But you are not using them. The ones in bold are currently active (apparently SB was up.) But on page 6/13 notice that two mixes are trying to drive the ch1 to 100% and two mixes are t...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

You can save individual models to the SD card and the Tx can restore them from the SD. They are saved as as .bin files on the SD as a single model. Companion does not handle .bin files from the TX (last time I tried anyway.) It handles all the models on the tx as on .otx and reads them from the tx m...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

there are versions of companion for Linux also. Yes you would probably have to start over todo it on inputs. I think the TX12 uses tx memory for models...not the SD card. It seems more like QX7 or X9D under Opentx. To change the TX memory I think you must use Tx connected t PC. But I could be wrong....

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

Well I don't have a Tx 12. I do have a FrSky Qx7 and a RM T16s. The QX7 screen and the TX12 screen are similar in size, colors (or lack thereof), and pixel count. I think that right now the menus on the radio are very confusing for Flight Modes even on the TX16s. A couple of videos are probably wort...

Re: 2nd RC, 1st OpenTX

Yes you could do it with each FlightMode using "Own Trim." or You could put an extra 2 mixes on each channel with only the Flight Mode 'checked' for the appropriate flight mode on the mix setup page. (The default probably has the mixes active for all flight modes.) As with many things in O...

Re: Formatting SD cards

The operating system, not the hardware, determines what format is required. Any Tx running OpenTx and EdgeTX uses FAT32. I've never seen a SD card less than 64gb that didn't come formatted with Fat32. Since that is what OpenTx and EdgeTX (almost sure ersky also) expect, there is no need to format th...

Whatever you put in the MIX page works. So if you put AilL on as Mix 8, then it is channel 8 for its servo. In either OpenTx or EdgeTx it is the same. Here is some reference material for OpenTx...for setting up Mixes and Channels what works for one works for the other.OpenTx reference urls http://op...

I assume you mean the left stick is not controlling the motor, not that the left stick is centering. If this is the case the Radio Setup page probably has the wrong channel order set. Maybe set to RETA as I think that is the default. If so you will have to change it. This will not change the existin...

Yes, In each model setup there is a screen called telemetry. (It requires looking thru all the other setup screens to get to it. On the QX7, a short cut gets you to quicker with a long press of entry...I assume it would work on the X9D Plus 2019, but have not tested.) At the top Are a couple of line...
