Re: Vacation in France

Never heard of such regulation. I fly frsky, don't know about the exact frequency.
But if they are not checking it actively, it will not be a problem.

I go to the morvan, Lac the settons. And if the weather is to bad, we will drive further south.

Vacation in France

A couple of nights sleep and I go on holiday!
I'm going to France and the Easystar 2 and 9x are going with me (my wife and children too).
I never flew in france, is there any regulation about for example how high you may fly?

Re: Telemetry efficiency data

You are right, and the same goes for the current vario implementation. The vario does also not have energy compensation, which it should have. But that does not mean that it is not useful. I am interested in the basic infomation and like to have a simple method that gives an indication of the effici...

Re: Telemetry efficiency data

Yes, using the gps as a sensor for now. But in the future a airspeed sensorcould be used to. It doesn't matter if flying against the wind, the efficiency is relative. And after a couple of flights you could know how much throttle is needed and put it under a switch. Under the same condidtions you co...

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area

For the telemetry mod of the stock board you must use a ttl converter to translate the rs232 signal to the ttl signal for the CPU. On the ersky9x the converter is build in the board..

And the console is the terminal app.. dmesg does not work on a mac, you need sudo rights. Strange guys @ apple, rather give me Ubuntu.

Telemetry efficiency data

I was thinking about good usage of the ampere sensor and thought it would be nice to have the next data options:

- mah per kmh
- mah per meter climbing

In this way you can find the most efficient cruise speed and the most efficient climbing speed.

The system log is not the system profiler, but the console app.

The USB > bt adapter could be a ftdi adapter. I think any USB ttl adapter would work.

Now I understand the cmake command, thanks!
In my development environment I also keep them separate, but didn't know how to do it with companion9x.

Re: Advice on android pad..

I have a Asus Transformer tf300. Best tablet I have seen. You can attach a keyboard that has an extra accu, USB host and SD card reader. The tablet itself has a HDMI and micro SD slot. You can copy from the SD to the micro SD and you can even attach a normal mouse. I also game on it with a Bluetooth...

Is the cmake . not necessary?

svn update
cd src
cmake .
make clean && make -j 3

I hope bertrand will get the usb mass storage working. Than we don't need to remove the card anymore to add files.
If that works, I just put the card in once.

Re: Pot scroll "funny"

When a pot is not connected to the cpu, the processor pin voltage is undefined. The input value is floating. That probably caused your problem.

Re: Must have items on your electronic workbench

I like the gcc port the best. But it is not perfect.
I will buy a bench scope in the future, but until then it does the job and is portable.
Looking at the Owon sds6062 with accu. Big screen, nice specs and portable!

Hmmm, a charger circuit in a 9x would be handy on holiday. Charge your transmitter and your 2s/3s lipos at the same time from 12v 8-)

Re: New features provided by open9x

Rates are looking good!
For mixers the output label "CH1" is not handy, it should be per mix. Maybe the input label "Ail"?
Changing the SW to CS seems a good solution and a more intuitive label.

Re: New features provided by open9x

Looks great. And on arm we could use a real bold font.
Is it easy to implement it to for expo/dual/triple rates? That would be very handy.
I think the current rates screen is hard to understand compared to er9x and could use some help/love.

Re: RN-42 Bluetooth

I never tried over bluetooth, but you could try this:
http://rc-miskolc.emiter.hu/index.php?o ... Itemid=113
Connect to the bluetooth dongle from your computer and create a virtual serial port.
Connect the program to the virtual serial port.

I sometimes have some buzzing of my servos when I turn it on, but that goes away after moving the stick one time.
Using HXT900 most of the time. I suspect the servos in my case.
Could it have been a tip stall?
