Re: 2 Stage Flaperons with Slow Up and Down
If you go back and look at my post earlier in the thread you will see this exact problem. You need to use triple rates on the ail tied to the switch you use for flaperons. This way you reduce the max ail by the amount of flaps and keep the ratio the same Sent from my motorola electrify using digital...

Voltage alarms
I have the frsky module and the telemetrez board. I can set the bec voltage on A1, but when I try to set a low voltage alarm nothing happens.
I set org alarm < 6v to test it but nothing. (the bec voltage is 5.5 as tested by my DMM)

Frsky menu definitions.
I have tried to find what the definitions are for the Frsky menus without any luck. (since the search engine wont let me search for "frsky") has anyone made a list of what the defintions are? like what is the difference between "alt" and "Galt" what are "tim1"...

Re: 'Sticky' throttle kill?
you can use this one too. stick TH, where you have to be at low stick, ID0, but it gives you 5 secs to turn it back off in flight in case you hit it by mistake or need to undo the TH switch.

I dont know if they all do this, but I know the TH9x has an idle alarm as well. if no button is pushed and no stick is moved in 10 minutes mine starts beeping.

Re: Mixes for tail gyro....cant get it to work..
I know this is a little older, but this is how I setup my Tail gyro and makes it very easy to setup the tail and make adjsutments. CH06 +15% Half Switch(gear) -15% Half Switch(!gear) +5% P2 Switch(gear) -5% P2 Switch(!gear) this gives me an initial setting of 15% for headhold and 15% for ratemode ti...

indeed! save a $10 battery from a slight amount of posible damage and crash a $200+ model as the trade off, no thanks!MikeB wrote:Besides which do you want to save, your battery or your model? I would think you would NOT want your transmitter switching itself off while flying!

Re: ER9X Tricopter setup
I would check the simple stuff, you have bind? the LED on the rx should be lit.
also look on the LCD and see that you are actually getting changes on the channels.

Re: ER9X Tricopter setup
if I am not mistaken, all multi-rotor have a control board that directly controls the motors. be it 3,4,6,8 motors, doesnt matter. The gyros on-board direct power to the correct motors to stabilize and take commands from the RX
a simple AETR setup with gyro gain should work fine.

Re: 2 Stage Flaperons with Slow Up and Down
that works really well except for one thing. when you set either stage of flaps you offset the ailerons. this means that at 30% down flaps and full left or right AIL stick makes one aileron at 100% and the other one at -70%. that is 30% more aileron on one side than the other. that would create more...

improved sticky TH
this is an improvement on the sticky TH that is in the templates. Initially it makes you put the radio in ID0, low throttle stick to start the motor. (keeps you from releasing TH switch with throttle stick on or in idle-up) once you have started the motor you can set the throttle hold switch to kill...

I also changed my timer switch for "v>ofs ch5(throttle) -98"
that gives your switch a little wiggle room.

maybe I am missing something here, but I cant see how to use the GVARs. I can scroll through all the GVAR variables, but they dont allow you to set anything, they just mirror whatever that input is doing. Re: Make Turnigy module removable with existing hard ware
Usually using antenna gain only to increase range comes with limitations. The concept is that if you start out with let's say 50 Mw of omnidirectional power (donut shape, dead at the tip), its spreading that power in a 360 deg pattern. If you alter the antenna length, and with a matching network st...

I do as kilrah suggested for my HH gyro. set the gain close to what you think will work. adjust till it is right, then copy that value into the mix value. so if I want 54% gain for HH mode and 40% ratemode gain the code looks like this ch06 +54%HALF Switch(GEA) -40%HALF Switch(!GEA) +30%P2 the pot g...

if you had a dedicated network, it might work.
I actually do something like this for a living. we set up long distance wifi links and can control PTZ camera equipment. there is not enough latency to see on the video or the control of the PTZ camera. but we make our own network too.
