I've a new Taranis which I'm starting to get to grips with, but I've also got a 9x with 9extreme board running ersky9x.
My question is what are the advantages and disadvantages of running Ersky9x vs the latest OpenTX?
or does anyone have a link to where this is discussed?
many thanks

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
I guess so sorry! It's late and I've drunk too much coffee
but am I right in assuming I'm getting all the data on the taranis and all I've got to do now is figure out how to show it ?

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
I've just been given a Taranis to play with :D , I had this working with my 9x and extreme board. On the taranis I've populated the sensors and I get the following: SENSORS VALUE INSTANCE 1 SWR CORRECT 25 2 RSSI CORRECT 25 3 RxBT CORRECT 25 4 VFAS 0.00V 27 5 001D 81 0 6 Tmp2 103C 0 7 CuRR 0.0A 27 8 ...

Re: 9Xtreme Connecting XJT Module
everything is working with the 9x,9xtreme and Internal DHT module. (RC and telemetry) I'm eventually going to use x4r's (when I can afford it) , but at the moment I'm going to use the XJT module with my current d4r-ii's want everything internal ( but I also want to be able to unplug the XJT module a...

Re: Adding MAVLINK support
quick question, if you had an OSD on the telemetry port you are using would that not trigger the heartbeat on that port and obviate the need for the arduino if you can do the conversion in the 9x/taranis?

APM/Pixhawk/Pixracer 6-pos switch for flight modes
The 6- Position switch is relatively easy to set up for cleanflight/betaflight as you can alter the mode ranges Unfortunately to do the same with ardupilot software ( APM/Pixhawk/Pixracer) it is a bit more complicated. The set-up for the switch sets up the switching points at roughly equal points on...

OpenLRS moule (futaba)
Maybe a silly question but I've a 100mW futaba openLRS 433Mhz Module, anybody know whats involved in fitting it to my 9x with 9Xtreme?
is it voltage compatable? I can reflash it with code for a 9x for the correct output (probably )

Does the firmware have the code to go with the DIY Multiprotocol tx module ?.
thinking of this DIY RX-F802 8CH Receiver for FRSKY X9D X9D Plus DJI DFT DHT for a hackabout during the wind rain gales and dark depressing weather in the uk at the moment

probable a bit of a simple answer to the problem, why not a simple cut off filter, it'll get rid of the hiss

Just a thought but now all the EXT are working there is nothing to stop someone using a 6 position switch without all the resistors and other stuff, correct?

I went to download eepskye as instructed above but could not find one for Mac OS in the lower right section. There an epee for MAC in the column to left but it does not seem to communicate with 9Xtreme either reading or writing. Is there an alternative epee for MAC available anywhere? I can use the...

Every little helps.
once you understand the basics and what you need to do, the software is so versatile you can match just about anything.
Of course, understanding the basics can take some time
looks like the 27ms is super safe for the mathematically challenged

Re: 3 Position Swicth Upgrades - How to....
I usually reckon on needing 4.5mS for the sync. pulse, so this leaves you with 13.5mS for the channel pulses. If you assume the first 4 channels could all go to 2mS, this leaves 5.5mS for the remaining channels. 4 channels at 1.5mS would be 6mS. So it would depend on the length of the sync pulse yo...

Could someone comment on this to see if I have it right, and to check my logic :D I'm going to change some of my switches to 3 way switches using the wiring above, can't see any problem with that However I have a D4R-II with the 18ms firmware ( I'd like to keep using this for the quicker response) i...

Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation
A quick question, does anyone know ( before I solder)
if i solder servo headers on 7,8, and 9 for my DHT internal module is there enough space above the board for them to be vertical or should I use 90 degree pins
many thanks

Re: Welcome!
This I think has the best sound
small pause inserted to give the 9Xtreme more 'Punch'
tempo reduced and pitch slightly lowered to remove any computor generated effect
I was aiming for the BBC shipping forcast girls voice
