Not odd at all, you've likely set the Receiver number of another model to 2 (or had a model 2, then moved it to another slot, so it still has receiver number set to 2).

But nothing shows in the models list. And it only happens to this model number.

What does that mean? I gave you the explanation. The popup is just a warning for you to know you have 2 models that will cause the same receiver to respond if it is powered up.

Rssi TO PPM !

Hello ,
In 2.1 version a crucial function is not anymore avalaible :
I've been used to assign Rssi value to a channel so my APM/naze32 can read it and display a clear and real rssi on osd.
The guide is here http://blog.oscarliang.net/rssi-ppm-channel-taranis/

This function is not anymore availaible on 2.1 version, could you intergrate it again ?

Thanks in advance , and as usual ... your work is incredible ( and French ! cocorico !!!)

It's still there. Note you must have discovered sensors first for RSSI to be available as a choice.

In 2.1 it starts in the Input window: create a new input, select RSSI as source. Go to the mixer window, create a mix with the new input as source, thats all.

Lua wizard does not work for heli setup? or is it just me?

The heli wizard has never been done. Still waiting on someone who knows what he's doing to write it.

The problem is that there is no manual for opentx. You really should start thinking about that.
If its the same as ersky9x the wizard should start by asking the channels like thr, ail, ele, pitch curve channel (bellow ch10 for flybarless and above ch10 for flybar), and then swashplate type.
The rest could be configured manually after the wizard, like the throttle cut, reverse channels or not and mixes for 3d flight.

If you can do this you're already beyond the point where the wizard would be useful...

We do have a manual even if it's getting a bit old by now.

Still, you dont make a wizard without a staff. :)
And yes, that manual is from the stone age.

@OctavioS - Can you perhaps work with the devs to get a heli wizard up and running? I have a few helis that i cant set-up and have to use my dx6i with them... :-/

@joeb
If they follow the lead i have written above, it will be a start. I forgot about the gyro channel. That could also be added to the wizard. The rest, I think it's better to configure manually, otherwise the wizard may become very confusing.
Edit: Also the heli type: flybar or flybarless. For the flybarless model you always choose the 90° swashplate. Humm it might become confusing but not impossible. The thing with radios that use opentx and ersky9x is that you have to teach the radio to work. Flexibility comes at a price.

Cold and raining outside, so I had a look at lua.
A lot is written, but to get a start, I choose that here http://open-txu.org/home/grad-school/lu ... scripting/

Still have my "old" OpenTX 2.0.18 in a vbox (Win XP). There the lua script helloworld.lua is working! in sim mode.

But I changed over to OpenTX 2.1.7 (on my Debian Linux desktop) and there seems to be an issue.

File and folder are there

Code: Select all

~/Anwendungen/Opentx 2.1.7/SD_card/SCRIPTS/MIXES$
helloworld.lua
but the debugger tells me

Code: Select all

findTrueFileName(/home/kalle/Anwendungen/Opentx 2.1.7/SD_card/SCRIPTS/MIXES/.lua)
	not found
f_stat(/home/kalle/Anwendungen/Opentx 2.1.7/SD_card/SCRIPTS/MIXES/.lua) = error 2 (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden)
f_opendir(/home/kalle/Anwendungen/Opentx 2.1.7/SD_card/SCRIPTS/MIXES) = OK
error 2 (file or folder not found) That leaves me puzzled. What am I missing?

Thank you Kilrah. One step further ahead. ;)

But not the debugger says

Code: Select all

Error in script /SCRIPTS/MIXES/hello.lua: /SCRIPTS/MIXES/hello.lua:6: unexpected symbol near char(226)
GC Use: 3513bytes

Did not like

Hello,
I have a question about haptic mode.

I did a logic switch:
L1 a<x THR -75

and spec function
SF1 L1 haptic 0

Haptiс mode must be "all" ot "no keys" for this to work. But if i choose "centre beep" (THR), i get the "beep" with vibration.
If I choose haptic mode alarm", i get no vibro while centre and no vibro while L1.
So how can I turn on "centre beep" without haptic, but with my L1 and SF1 worked?
Thanks/

Seems you tested all the combinations, so it you apparently can't.

Can I have at least some hope that it will fix with the next firmware (like in er9x, for example)?

Maybe, but certainly not before you ask for it on the Github issue tracker.

I'm looking at updating my FRSKY Tx and all my Rx.
If I safe all my models to my computer can I reinstall them after the update or will I need to rebuild them manual as I did when I first created them?
What are the benefits of this update to people living North America (Canada)?
I know I have to update the voice files and that's why I ask.

There are 2 different things, one is OpenTX and one is the RF module and receivers.
If you're not in EU there is nothing to do on your module and receivers.

OpenTX 2.1 adds some major changes in how telemetry is configured, which might or might not be interesting to you, you might want to look at the simulator and companion first and read some of the 2.1 related threads. Models are automatically upgraded, although it's indeed good to make a backup before the upgrade in case you wanted to revert back at any point.

I'm in Canada.

So I think I understand.
The update for the Module and Rx is for the new EU RF laws (listen before you talk)? While the 2.1 update is a firmware update in functionality separate from RF transmission?
Did I understand this correctly?
