$50 though, and the 30-100m of bluetooth is pretty much the same as that low power telemetry you talk of...

Yes, very short range just like Spektrum park flyer setup. The app feature and voice is interesting however. Good for park flyers that fly systems without a telemetry or voice option.
Also good for a lost plane finder if you don't have a Frsky setup?
Flytron does sell some interesting accessories and I like their logo.
