Taranis with custom azimuth/azipod control?

Hi

I would like to build a custom case for the internal part of a Taranis radio (I have a Taranis X9E, at the moment). I'm building a scale ship with Azipod/Azimuth. To control these I have made a 3D model of real controller, therefore I need to connect a absolute rotary encoder or a hall angle sensor to the Taranis hardware and on the receiver end, I need to control a servo/step motor, angle at the same position as the encoder/hall sensor is in the transmitter. Is this possible in hardware and software modification?
