Yes, I mostly fly large gliders and thus I need some straps not to be tired (sometimes I fly 1 hour).

where do you fly? I'm from Naperville so not all that far from you.

I fly mainly at Rock Valley Colege out here. I am putting together some .60 size planes with some speed in em, so I will be going up to a real AMA flying field in Roscoe, IL to fly those.

My son (who is 26 and loves skateboarding) challenged me to think outside the box and do him a transmitter that was "grunge". I'm twice his age and have no idea what grunge is ... exactly .. but I gook my best shot at it. I think he likes it because he said it's "badass".

Back at it again. I've got three custom builds in the works. I had planned to use this one for my ersky9x board -- but I've got two more cases to do and then I'll decide which one I'm keeping.

More like dropped the paint in a water bucket, plopped the radio in and pulled it out. :)

Love the look, did that with a lot of frames years ago.

I fill a large container with a saturated borax/water solution and make sure the temp of the water is above 23C. Paint is Enamel, Testers, Model Masters, Humbrel all work. I'm not a master of the technique (obviously) and there is still considerable randomness to it. I've found that using syringes to distribute the ink or bulb pipettes can help make more interesting patterns. Right now I'm practicing with soda cans. I will do more radios soon -- but first need to play with the technique.

Hi Xavier,

That case looks promising.. I also thought of doing the same thing by making my own box with bent aluminium sheet and milled side caps, because I couldn't find any suitable aluminium enclosure..

Can you please let me know whether this enclosure you have used is a ready made one and if so can you please give the link to order a one. ?

Thanks much.

I have always just used some long nose pliers. Just be careful you don't scratch the case.

Did that yesterday and I just used a large screwdriver placed in one of the grooves. Just pushed a little and was done.
I didn't want to use some pliers, not to scratch the nuts

Come to think of it,
What does that actual tool look like? Can one be made or purchased?
I think I've faked a tool for 20 years and never actually have seen the one we should own and use.

Completely over the top! How about you educate me on your process for making the screen mask and the labels by the switches. So many awesome details that are perfectly executed.

Nice, I like the white case and the labels look great. Do post a tutorial on the labels and screen mask.
