[Sky9X] Rotary encoder

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

[Sky9X] Rotary encoder

Post by Peter »

How can I use the rotary encoder to change inflight parameters such as dualrate and differential? I found instructions for the gruvin9x board, but cannot get them to work.
I'm also missing some menu navigation options. Such as long press to go back.

Use REa as source and you are ok...
eventually use REa to set the value of a global variable and use it instead.

Thanks, that works, but is very basic. I realy would like to alter individual parts of the mixer and global var.
Altering multiple gvars at once with a specified direction would be really great.

According to this post partof the functionality should be somewhere in open9x:

"Adjust GVARx" is a custom function, so assignable to a switch. You could use:
THR Adjust GVAR1 REa
ELE Adjust GVAR2 REa

etc. use the switches to go from adjusting one variable to the next.

Just to confirm after I had a chat with Peter, the previous "Inflight Parameters Modification" feature has been removed and replaced by this one which is far more powerful!
