That IS a 2019 version. If you flashed firmware for non-2019 it won't work.jacksonmarkow wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 9:13 pm Trying to get a FrSky Taranis XD9+ (non-2019) to work

You can now provide SBUS to the bottom user ports, but a hardware inverter is needed.

Re: QX7S and LR12
Both of these have small antennas you can leave inside the hull. Obviously not as ideal than having them outside, but still likely better than 2.4 given the lack of interaction with water 2.4 has.
Best would probably be to borrow some gear and see if it's appropriate before buying...

Re: QX7S and LR12
It's not possible to use it without a module, you have to use an XJT or other compatible one like the multiprotocol module.
Since you need to get a module you might as well forget 2.4GHz and get a 868 one which might be a lot more appropriate.

What RPM sensor? Some have a number of pole setting as well. You need to set the number on one and leave 1 on the other.

Re: QX7S and LR12
Have you looked to see if you can actually find L9Rs in the first place? It was discontinued years ago.
If I remember well the "classic" QX7 has LR12, just not the new ACCESS version.

Re: Throttle starts as radio is very near
Multi firmware isn't latest, but unless there was a specific issue in that one and I haven't heard of one it should work. Do take note that failsafe positions are transmitted once every 10ish seconds so you may have to wait a bit until the receiver gets them, if you power on and get close straight a...

Re: Throttle starts as radio is very near
Make sure the firmware of your radio's module is up to date, and you're using your receiver in D16 if it supports both D8 and D16. What receiver is it exactly? FrSky have no "RX8" but several things containing those letters...

There have been 5000+ downloads of 2.3.13 for TX16S so if there was a systematic issue we'd likely know about it.
Probably either improper flashing or faulty hardware.

Re: Max Altitude shows wrong values
Probably wrong values being sent somewhere, might be the different receiver, or that the firmware on the RF module you use on each radio being different and one having a bug around that. Start by checking / matching multiprotocol module firmware versions.

Binding is linking the radio's RF module and receiver, so if you change the module you have to rebind, yes.

Re: Taranis X9D+ 2019 SE with DJI A2
The built-in receiver is a Futaba FASST receiver, so you need a radio that can transmit that. There is no easy solution to do that with your radio, so better use a separate receiver.

You need OpenTX firmware for X9D+, and the RF firmware (XJT) is on the page for the X9D+ on frsky website.

The 2019 version would have been sold as such, has an ACCESS logo on the screen bezel and a roller instead of buttons for menu navigation.

Is this an X9D+ or an X9D+2019? You flashed module firmware for the 2019 version, that won't work if it's not the radio you have.

SF only has one line so you cannot wire a 3 position switch to it, hence why it's not offered...
You can wire 3pos switches to SI or SJ though.
