Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I just wanted to update. So I returned the new XJT module and actually got a third one. Turns out the third one worked. Telemetry is back. Original module still doesn't get telemetry. What are the odds, second module was DOA. I don't know why, but I never get any email notifications for a new post. ...

Re: er9x development
I don't know if this is thread for feature suggestion. If not, please direct me accordingly. On my Turnigy X9R pro, I need to hold the trims to get it into bootloader mode. But every time I do this, the trims become off-centered. Few times, my trims are so off-centered because I forget to recenter t...

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
Mike, I just wanted to update you what is going on with my radio. So, I went ahead and bought myself the new Horus X10S. I bound my quads and telemetry worked. I put in the XJT module and bound the quad, and telemetry did not work. My initial thought was the XJT unit was bad is probably correct. If ...

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I found something interesting. Pin 5 S. Port from JR bay, should be connected to the left pin on J18. But is connected to the right pin, which should be ground. And the left pin on J18 is grounded.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
Multimeter seems to change from 0V to 2.6V. The switching is done too quickly for my multimeter to can't keep up. I can't tell for sure if it is actually 3.3v.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I tried the Diag5 firmware. Still no telemetry. I even took cover off the XJT module to make sure the pins are making good contact. Move the module to no avail. I did notice that the telemetry display blinks. Is this significant? Blinks regardless whether module is in or not. When running the diagno...

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I re-run the High-Low and turn off at High-High. Loaded the serial test and plug in COM 2 (bottom right on Futaba port) and the alphabet started. It stops when I pull the COM 2 and starts again when I plug it back in. Loaded r220 firmware and still not telemetry. Will test Diag5 and report back. I a...

You mentioned something about sound. I have noticed that there is a lot more statics in the voice compared to before this happened.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I believe it did what you described. What is interesting, the first time I ran it, the High and low appeared first. After that, I was not able to do that again.
So that means my inversion appears to work?

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
RTC is active and running. Inverted and non-inverted were tried multiple times.
As for all the resistors, they all gave me 1.8K instead of what you mentioned. I have verified that my multimeter is accurate with a known value resistor. Is there any other component I should check for values?

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I tested diag1 again. You can see the video below.
Diag3 - the only thing that changes is the count at bottom left. The baud never changes. No alphabet count. Connecting COM2 RX does nothing I waited at least 5 mins.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I tested both version
Diag1- I got exactly what you described. High and low alternating.
Diag2- Same as the video I posted yesterday. I tried both inverted and non-inverted.
I checked all the trace continuity, and they all checked out like your said.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I posted a video below.
I tried it inverted and non-inverted. Same result. No count up of the alphabet.
Connecting COM2 RX doesn't change anything.
A real COM port on a computer... What is that?
I actually do have an old laptop that has a real serial COM port. I can dust it off.

same result with inverted or non-inverted.
I get continuity both for R82 and Pin 2 of J6. resistor does read 100ohm.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
Thank you for taking the time to help me diagnose this problem. The trims are working in diagswtch. I updated bootloader to 2.1, which is what r220 firmware provides. Now inward trims works. My TX is weird. I had that weird voice problem that we never solve. Where if I don't leave the splash screen ...

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
Just curious for contrast why it should be around 27? Is it to see the LCD or my initial problem with telemetry? I wasn't sure you read that I got the radio to power up again by bridging R9. My initial problem with telemetry still persist.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I will check the drivers and the bootloader again when I get home this evening.
As far as the contrast, it is currently 25. Why should I have it to at least 27?
I bought the TX from Hobbyking. No mods.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I have to press horizontal trims outward, but yes I can get into bootloader. And the computer recognize the TX. I am able to read EEPROM and flash firmware.
I always wondered about the trim thing. I remember reading that you have to press inward, and I never got it to work. But outward always worked.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
I toasted the R9 resistor. After shorten R9, it is working again. But still not telemetry.
Also found out that the S. Port pin in the module bay sometime doesn't work.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
Tried to do what you said. There was not TelRXcount so I didn't even bother logging. Anyway, the TX is completely dead. Can't even turn on. It just makes a winding noise, but nothing on the LCD. The ready light glows, but that is about it.

Re: Telemetry sudden stopped on XJT module
Here is the eepm file. I have combed through all the settings. I hope a second eye will help. I did not change any setting when this stopped working. Weird that COM2 is getting nothing and COM1 seems to be working, but still not getting telemetry on both XJTs.
Appreciate the help.
