Re: Looking to buy a 3D printer
I bought a Prusa MK3. It is my first 3d printer and I have chosen a Prusa because of the support. You can reach them most of the time in the support chat and they know their products. I got a replacement for a faulty power supply within two days. My point of view is, that community support is great,...

Re: 3D Printed RC Truck Wheel Rims (CR10 3D Printer)
Update: As you can see from the photo's, changing to this nut-washer combo I can have a the thicker the drive-web in the rim. And if I take another 1mm off from each of the Blue-Hex-Drive-Hub's the rim drive-web thickness can be even thicker. From an engineers point of view, you should not shrink t...

Re: 3D Printed RC Truck Wheel Rims (CR10 3D Printer)
I tried the Amazon basics in transparent blue and got good prints out of it. Before I only had PETG directly from Prusa. More important than the color is a good and constant quality like diameter tolerance. Both brands were used with Slic3r PE and stock profile for my MK3.

As Kilrah wrote: do not waste your time with ABS. You will probably need an enclosure for this. PETG is almost as easy to print as PLA. You will probably get more stringing, but this can easily be removed afterwards. And depending on your printbed you will need a separator like a glue stick to avoid...

Re: 3D Printed RC Truck Wheel Rims (CR10 3D Printer)
Instead of trying different materials, I would suggest to modify the rims. They seem very thin and fragile where they broke. Also if there are sharp edges without proper radius, this will enforce trouble.

This might be related to the D8 mode. Are you shure, that the module and receiver use the same firmware (EU or non EU)? You should be able to bind in D16 mode if the versions match.

Welcome to the dark side. ;-) It might be a bit confusing, but sooner or later you will love all the possibilities of your new TX. Trust me, I made the same change two years ago. 1. I think there was never a wizzard for heli setups. If you have a FBL setup you can use a basic multirotor setup as a s...

Also consider the orientation of the transmitter antenna when positioning the RX antennas. For example I mounted both RX antennas horizontal, one pointing forward and the other to the side, as my TX antenna is also horizontal. So at least one of the RX antennas is always almost parallel and getting ...

Re: No Bootloader screen on X9D
If you upgraded from the stock frsky firmware, you have to flash the bootloader. This is not done during the upgrade. Go to the file browser on the taranis and select the firmware file. A menu will pop up and you have the option to flash the bootloader.

I also noticed this behavior on the throttle channel. I had to raise the min value quite a lot.airwolfe wrote:ooh ok, I will do that. I got it to fly but its like on the throttle there is a dead spot and its not all the way down. All the way down goes in reverse... when I get home I will work on it some more.

Please check your channel order: 1=T, 2=A, 3=E, 4=R, 6=Mode
I am using a taranis with a old DX4 module, so it might be different to your setup. But this is the way it works for me. You can also search for a NanoQX setup, as it is the same configuration.

FrSky have just released the LBT firmware for the XJT, X8R, X6R and X4R. It is supposed to improve the RF link performance. What they haven't mentioned is that an XJT with this firmware supports D8 mode :P Mike. Do you have any info about this firmware? What can it do compared to the normal (non) E...

Some time ago someone posted a similar configuration for your PS2 pot. The camera servos were moved with moving a slider. Maintenance mode was never implemented official in 2.0.x. Perhaps you had a modified firmware? SPort updating works in current 2.1.x releases on the file page. You could flash the bootloader of your old modified 2.0.15. It should work with the 2.0.17 firmware.

Re: No A1,A2 voltages in 2.1.3 companion ?
Before you can do the setup in companion, the sensors have to be detected by your tx. Go to the telemetry tab and discover new sensors. Now the rx will be detected and after this the voltage sensors will be also visible in companion.

You can select your type of switch in the tx settings on page 8. After this you have to calibrate your new switch. OpenTX will then recognize the number of positions.

Presumably, if I follow the advice and revise the firmware on my Taranis plus to non-eu, then it will no longer bind with the X8R receiver. But, I can up- (down?) date the Rx firmware too. Hello Scram and welcome to the forum. The incompatibility you noticed is normal and well documented in several posts. Re: Getting Companion to communicate with Taranis
You don't need dfu util for the communication. Since version 2.0 you only need the two disk drives that appear when the tx is connected. Companion reads and modifies the eeprom file if you down-/upload models. [edit] I do not use MacOS but linux. If you need to manualy mount the two drives, do it be...
